Clothes - wind and rain proof pants (cycle pants), and jacket, mitts, headband

Emergency food
Fanny pack – (only if there is enough gear to fill it).

Flagging – (unless trail is very well defined)

Food – noodle soup, veggies, hot sauce, muffins, chocolate, cookies, fruit

Garbage bag (plastic) for hauling back garbage
Gators – these are a must if there is any water or snow!! [eg Heather Lake!]
Gels – bring a bunch for emergency food.
Glasses (reading)
Gloves – even if is warm at lower elevations. Also good for scrambling.
Gps unit and spare batteries (Garmin 78s)
Hand lotion
Hand warmers if higher elevation

Hats – at least bring ball cap and a touque (never know when you have to overnight)

Hiking plan – leave this with someone in case a search is needed
Insect repellent (most often I never use it)
Key – only bring one key for vehicle – store it with vehicle
Hydration bag and some spare water to keep in truck
