5BX - Five Basic Exercises - William Orban

This is a very practical program which had a strong influence on my fitness level. It was taught to our PE class back in Port Alberni at ADSS - Alberni District Senior Secondary School by our PE instructor (1973-74).

I used this program extensively in the mid-70's when I was working in the Cariboo for 2 summers (in Quesnel).  A few years later I did it again for a whole year - every day!

Then, in 2003, I saw the author's obituary in the newspaper and I felt almost a sense of worship for this person who made such a positive contribution to Canadian Society.

Especially when I learned that he personally did not benefit in anyway from this - at least financially. Even professionally he was ridiculed for some time until the critics realized that they in fact were wrong. Isn't that the way?
